Remembering the old while enjoying the new.

One of the sentences in Mrs Yao speech that caught my attention.

And through this sentence it made me stop and ponder for awhile.

Often, when we tend to have new things we would neglect the old stuffs we had.

For example, when you buy a new shoe you would keep wearing it.

Till when you look inside your shoe cupboard.

And realise you haven been wearing your old shoe for quite sometime.

Well, this reflects about our life also.

In the area of the things we do and also sometimes our relationships with people.

Many at times, we are so excited about the new things that we are going to start.

We start it off feeling excited, happy etc.

But as time goes by, when the things that we do became a routine.

You began to feel bored about it. And want to start something new again.

It's a cycle that I am sure everyone have gone through before including me.

I got reminded of a verse.

2 Corinthians 8:10-11

And in this I give advice: It is to your advantage not only to be doing what you began and were desiring to do a year ago; but now you also must complete the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to desire it, so there also may be a completion out of what you have.
